The Swift Fox (Vulpes velox) is about the size of a domestic cat. Their natural habitat is the Western Grasslands of North America. The Swift Fox was extirpated from Canada in the 1930s.  Reintroduction activities have seen success with the fox inhabiting 40% of its natural range.
